Dossier is a cloud-based solution for skills management, learning, and compliance. It helps organizations manage employee skills, training requirements, and regulatory compliance through a central platform.
The Identum eADM automates the flow of data from your HR system into Dossier. By acting as an intermediary between the HR source and Dossier, eADM that the competency management system always reflects the accurate organizational structure and active user base, including both internal employees and external consultants.
Integration Capabilities
The integration relies on file-based transfer via SFTP. eADM identity data and pushes updates to Dossier to ensure synchronization.
Core Features

Organizational Hierarchy Sync: eADM the organizational structure defined in the HR system (or in eADM ) in Dossier. If a department is moved or renamed in the source system, eADM the hierarchy in Dossier accordingly.

Employees: Users from the HR system are automatically created in Dossier.

External Accounts: eADM also provision external users (e.g., consultants, temporary staff) who may not be in the primary HR system but are managed within eADM.

Position and Department Mapping: Users are linked to the specific departments within the organizational hierarchy where they hold an active position.

Manager Assignment: The integration identifies the user's primary manager in eADM designates them as the manager in Dossier. This is essential for approval workflows and competency reviews.

Configuration and Setup
The setup process for the Dossier integration is straightforward. Identum handles the technical configuration; the customer is only required to provide the necessary connection details and prepare the existing data.
Prerequisites

SFTP Credentials You must obtain SFTP access credentials from your Dossier service provider or administrator. Once obtained, these details must be provided to Identum so that the connection can be configured.

Server Address (Hostname): The URL or IP address of the Dossier SFTP server.

Username: The specific account name for the SFTP connection.

Password: The account credentials.

Dossier Data Cleanup If you have been using Dossier prior to this integration, your environment likely contains existing departments. To avoid creating duplicate departments and to preserve existing competency history, you must update the existing departments in Dossier with the correct Department Number (matching the ID in youreADM ) before Identum activates the integration. Failure to do so will result in the integration creating new, duplicate departments, effectively splitting your data.

Setup Instructions

Prepare Data: Review your current dossier structure and ensure that all existing departments are tagged with the correct department numbers.

Forward to Identum: Send the connection details to Identum Support or your designated Implementation Consultant.

Verification: Once Identum configures the connector, a test synchronization will be performed to verify that the hierarchy maps correctly to existing departments and that users are provisioned.
Security Note: Do not send passwords in plain text via standard email. Please use a secure method (such as a password-sharing link or an encrypted file) to transmit the password.
