Troubleshooting incorrect main positions in Visma Enterprise HRM

Some users may encounter issues with their primary position following an internal job change. Their profile may display an incorrect position, or their account may be deactivated entirely. This discrepancy can occur even when the user interface in Visma Enterprise HRM shows the correct, active position.

Cause

In some cases, Visma does not automatically update a user's primary position in its underlying data source. The data retrieved by eAdm the import does not match the information displayed in the Visma user interface. This discrepancy causes incorrect data to appear in the user's profile.

Solution

To fix this, you must configure a standard report in Visma Enterprise to synchronize the main account data before the daily import runs.

  1. In Visma Enterprise, set up the standard report titled "Update Main Position." For instructions on how to set up this report, please refer to the Visma article:Visma Enterprise | Automatically Set Main Position

  2. Schedule this report to run automatically every day.

  3. Make sure the report is scheduled to run after midnight but before the daily eAdm begins.

This procedure ensures that any changes to positions that take effect on the current day are correctly updated in the data source eAdm by eAdm .
