Updating Fields in a Synchronization Template

This document provides a step-by-step guide on how to update and re-export a specific field or all fields within an eADM template.

Prerequisites

To perform this action, you must have access to the eADM and the necessary permissions to edit synchronization templates.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Go to Synchronization > Synchronization Templates.

  2. Select the synchronization template for the target system you need to update.

  3. Go to the Export tab and locate the attribute mapping (field) you want to update.

Re-exporting a Single Field

To export a single field to the target system:

  • In the row for the specific field, click the Export mapping icon (the play icon) on the far right.

Note: This action re-exports only the data for the selected field for all users currently included in the synchronization.

Re-exporting All Fields

To re-export all fields in the template at the same time:

  1. In the menu bar, click the Export attributes icon (the fast-forward icon).

  2. In the dialog box that appears, you can choose to apply the export to all users or a selected group of users.

  3. You can either preview the data before exporting or export it directly.

Warning: Exporting all attributes will overwrite existing data for the selected users in the target system. Proceed with caution.

The instructions cover navigating to the correct template, selecting the desired field, and executing the export, which updates the field values for the specified users.
