How to Override Automatically Assigned Access Permissions

In eADM, you can manually remove or modify automatically assigned access permissions for a specific user. This action creates a permanent override.

Warning: Use this function with caution. An override remains active until you manually remove it. This means the user's access will no longer be managed by automatic rules.

Procedure

Follow these steps to override a user's automatically assigned permissions:

  1. Search for the user whose permissions you want to change.

  2. Go to the Permissions tab for that user.

  3. To completely remove an automatically assigned permission, click the Delete icon next to the permission.

  4. To change a permission, click the pencil icon to modify it.

Note: Modifying a permission is particularly useful for access groups that allow only one permission at a time, such as M365 licenses. This allows you to easily upgrade or downgrade a license for a specific user without changing the rule that assigns it.

  1. If you need to undo the override, click the Undo icon to restore the original, automatically assigned permission.
