This guide explains how to manually re-export or update a user attribute from eADM a target system, such as Active Directory (AD).
Normally, eADM exports values that have changed since the last synchronization. However, in certain situations, you may need to perform a manual, full re-export of an attribute.
This procedure is useful when:
-
Manual changes have been made directly in the target system (e.g., AD) that you need to overwrite with data from eADM.
-
You have updated an expression in the Source column in an eADM mapping and want to apply this change retroactively to all users.
-
A static value must be re-exported for all users to ensure that the target system is updated correctly.
Procedure
Follow these steps to manually trigger a re-export for one or more attribute mappings.
-
Go to Synchronization > Synchronization Templates.
-
Select the appropriate synchronization template for the target system you want to update.
-
On the Export tab, locate the attribute mapping you want to re-export.
-
To re-export a single attribute, click the Export mapping (play icon) button at the far right of that attribute's row.
Note: To re-export all attributes in the template at once, click the Export attributes button (fast-forward icon) in the top menu bar.
-
A new dialog box will open. Here, you can specify the scope of the export. Choose whether the export should apply to All users or a specific selection (Select).
-
You have two options:
-
Preview: Click here to review the data that will be exported before running the task.
-
Execute: Click this to add the re-export task to the eADM queue immediately.
-
-
If you choose to preview the data, you can filter the results to make them easier to review.
Note: For the clearest overview, filter the preview by ID. This will sort the export data by the user's unique ID in eADM. You can find a user's ID by checking the URL when viewing their profile in the eADM .
-
Once you have confirmed that the data is correct, click Execute to complete the re-export to the target system.
