Using Access Control to Order Keycards and Equipment

You can use the access control module to set up a system for ordering physical items such as equipment and keycards. This allows managers to order licenses, application access, and necessary equipment for new employees through a single, streamlined process within eADM.

When an order is placed, an automated email notification is sent to the person in charge of keycards or the equipment manager.



Configuration

Follow these steps to configure this feature:

  1. Create a separate permission group. Give it a descriptive name, such as "Order equipment package."

  2. Add the different products or packages as separate permissions within this group.

  3. Assign a ruleset to the "Available for" field to control which users can grant this permission.

  4. Assign a ruleset to either automatically assign the permission or restrict which users can be granted the permission.

  5. Use the + and in icons in the function column to automatically generate the notification flows.

  6. Customize the notification flows to meet your organization's specific needs.
